Eligibility

The Program is designed for students of sophomore and junior standing. Other qualified students are welcome, but they must have completed two semesters on campus before studying abroad.  The minimum language requirement is four college semesters of German (or the equivalent). Applicants should have an overall grade point average of 2.75 and 3.0 in German (A=4).

In addition, applicants must be in good health and possess the kind of flexibility and sensitivity to others that will allow for easy adjustment in an unfamiliar cultural setting. A physical examination by a doctor and letters of recommendation are required.

Students who are not financially independent must submit written consent for participation from a parent or guardian.
