Study Abroad Program Manager for the Austria IL Exchange Program (AIEP)

Full-time, non-tenure-track
The position is a regular Academic Professional position at 100%, renewable beyond three years contingent on periodic satisfactory performance reviews. Duties and responsibilities include managing incoming and outgoing study abroad student concerns, recruitment, orientations, credit articulation and processing in consultation with the department, program development, and participation in the campus study abroad community to ensure campus standards are met. The campus AIEP Manager will act as a liaison with the AIEP Resident Director in Vienna, the Director of International Programs in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the Head of Germanic Languages and Literatures. Teaching load includes at least two (2) with a maximum of four (4) German courses per year; priority given to applicants willing to contribute to a broad undergraduate curriculum.
Required: PhD in German.
Preferable: experience and proficiency in study abroad exchange program administration, particularly in German-speaking countries.
Starting date will be as soon as possible after the close of the search. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Full consideration will be given to application materials received by April 11, 2008.
