GER 321 covers different aspects of the German business world and the German economy within its European context. It will familiarize you with topics, vocabulary and structures used in everyday business dealings in German-speaking countries. Topics to be covered are the European Union, international trade, economic systems, commerce, transportation, banking, advertising, and others. The course offers practical knowledge to hone your language skills and to acqaint you with business aspects of the German-speaking countries. Thus, the course is not only be of interest to students majoring in commercial German or international business, but also to those intending to live or work abroad. We will work with authentic, up-to-date texts and video clips as well as a textbook. (3 hours)

Prerequisite: GER 320 or equivalent or consent of the instructor.
