German Homepage maintained by the German Department
at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
This site aims at preparing students for the two business
examinations offered by the Goethe Institut, Zertifikat
Deutsch für den Beruf (ZDfB) and Prüfung
'Wirtschaftsdeutsch International' (PWD). Besides
offering useful links, this site also provides a collection
of exercises centering first and foremost around the
acquisition of vocabulary pertinent to Business German.

The exercises on this
page cover some of the different aspects of the German
business world and the German economy within its European
context. It will familiarize students with some of the
essential vocabulary of the German business language
as it is used in basic operations in retail/wholesale,
export/import and banking transactions. The following
